New drink and vegetarian amuse-bouche
As mentioned by Reitz, Lufthansa will also be introducing the Aperitif Avionic, its newest signature drink that will be an alternative to water and sparkling wine onboard the airline’s aircraft, with the Avionic being served before takeoff.
The drink was specially created by the Frankfurt, Germany-based Ziegler distillery, developed with the help of Sven Riebel, a local bar icon. According to Lufthansa, the drink has peach notes and wild meadow herbs and is mixed on ice with tonic.

Furthermore, the airline will also begin serving a vegetarian amuse-bouche, which will include dishes such as antipasti and sushi as a prelude to the first meal service during a flight. The carrier will also add fresh fruit to the dessert menu.
Lastly, Lufthansa has developed a new and modular snack offering between meal services, which depends on the length of the flight and the time of the day. This includes snacks, fruit, and salty or sweet treats, with the latter available on routes. From June 2024, Lufthansa will also receive Lindt chocolates in the airline’s exclusive design as a farewell gift.
In February 2023, Lufthansa introduced its newest long-haul flight experience, marketed as ‘Allegris.’ The airline promised to redefine the travel experience in all four cabin classes, including first, business, premium economy, and economy, with the German carrier spending €2.5 billion ($2.6 billion) to overhaul its onboard product and experience.
