No matter how experienced forklift operators may be or what kind of equipment they use, compliance with safety regulations and best practices is critically important—not just for operators, but for everyone who works in a warehouse or DC. That’s why the Industrial Truck Association (ITA) continues to host its annual National Forklift Safety Day program. This event highlights the industrial truck industry’s commitment to safe practices and to educating customers and policymakers about the safe use of forklifts and the importance of operator training.
The public portion of ITA’s 12th annual National Forklift Safety Day program will be held June 10 in Washington, D.C., and will also be livestreamed. This year’s featured speakers include:
- Brian Feehan, President, Industrial Truck Association
- Brett Wood, ITA Chairman of the Board, President and CEO Toyota Material Handling North America
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) (Invited)
- Ron Grisez, Director – Product Safety, Crown Equipment Corporation
- Jonathan Fortkcamp, PhD, CSP, Senior Director – Health, Safety & Environment, DHL Supply Chain, North America
- Lisa Brooks, CIE, Principal, Nexus HSE
The event is free, but advance registration is required. Register on ITA’s website, or for more information, contact the organization at (202) 296-9880.
