Fuel prices have been increased for the fourth time in just two weeks, pushing petrol prices past the ₹100 per litre mark in the national capital, Delhi.
In the latest revision, petrol prices have been raised by ₹2.61 per litre, while diesel has become costlier by ₹2.71 per litre. With this hike, petrol in Delhi now costs ₹102.12 per litre, while diesel is retailing at ₹95.20 per litre.
This comes close on the heels of Saturday’s increase, when petrol prices rose by 87 paise per litre and diesel by 91 paise.
Four Hikes in Two Weeks
The recent surge in fuel prices began on May 15, marking the first hike since February 28, when global crude markets reacted sharply following the onset of the US-Iran conflict 2026.
- May 15: Prices increased by ₹3 per litre
- May 19: Second hike of around 90 paise
- May 24 (Saturday): Third hike
- Latest: Fourth hike, pushing total increase to nearly ₹8 per litre
