Air Canada has announced over 100 new menu options for passengers across all cabin classes, featuring a wide range of globally-inspired dishes and drinks.
The Canadian airline will serve over 100 rotating seasonal dishes across its network, upgrading the culinary experience for all passenger classes. Scott O’Leary, Vice President, Loyalty & Product at Air Canada, commented,
“We’re incredibly proud to introduce these delicious new dining options, featuring homegrown Canadian products and ingredients reflecting the diversity of Canada and our customers’ tastes and preferences.”
The airline has really upped its culinary game in recent years compared to the regional competition – this includes being the only North American airline to offer hot kids’ meals as part of its Bistro buy-on-board program, and the only one to serve hot meals on business class flights under two hours.
Economy class
International Economy passengers can choose from new menu options, such as Red Thai Chicken and Rice or Chicken Cacciatore, while a new Pancake and Canadian Maple Syrup dish is available for hot breakfasts. The airline recently enhanced its international offerings in economy, adding starters like Hummus, Soba Noodles, and Chaat to its menu.

European flights will boast their own unique selection too, in the form of Monty’s Bakehouse Savory Pastries, featuring fillings like coconut chicken or sour cream and chive. TWIGZ Buttery Herb and Garlic craft pretzels are now available in International Economy, as well as all cabin classes on North America flights shorter than two hours.
The Bistro menu will also see some new additions, including Peppercorn Roast Beef Sandwich, Cheeseburger Sliders and new vegan options like Mediterranean Hummus Wraps. Extra drink options can be enjoyed, too, including Tequila Tromba and Campari.
Business class
Air Canada Signature Class travelers will have dishes from all across the world to choose from starting in Spring 2024 – new options include Teriyaki Salmon with Shangdong Noodles, a Middle Eastern Mezze Platter, and Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice.

New champagnes have also been selected by the airline’s in-house sommelier. This includes Haton Cuvée Classique and Duval-Leroy Brut Réserve on international routes, along with Jaillance Brut Traditionnel on North American and Caribbean flights. It has also introduced a new non-alcoholic option with Quebec-made Montellier sparkling water on all flights.
Snacks and pre-order expansion
Passengers in Signature Class or premium economy, as well as flights to and from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, will benefit from an enhanced offering of onboard snacks. Along with Buttery Herb and Garlic pretzels, travelers can snack on new offerings like Sweet Sixteen original candy mix, Chomps grass-fed beef jerky, and Ghirardelli dark chocolate squares, joining an already-extensive snack range.
The carrier will also expand its meal pre-ordering service this year, beginning with premium cabins on North American routes, before including international flights later in the year. Pre-order meal services not only ensure passengers get the meal option they want, but also help airlines cut down on waste and meet sustainability targets.
Last summer, the Canadian carrier introduced a range of attractive new options to its menu, such as oat milk, IPA craft beers, and Aperol spritzes – it now claims to provide “the largest in-flight bar offering” of any North American carrier and promises more announcements this year.
