Flair Airlines has inaugurated its new route between Toronto and Orlando, which becomes the Canadian low-cost carrier’s second connection with the Florida destination. Flair will operate 11 peak weekly flights between Toronto Pearson International (YYZ) and Orlando International (MCO) until late April 2025 and is set to debut flights from London and Saint John in the coming days.

Flair Airlines launches Toronto-Orlando service

The inaugural flight departed Toronto at 07:23 on December 16th and arrived in Orlando at 09:46. This early morning flight will be one of two departures on peak days, the other being an evening service with a scheduled arrival time of 23:15. Flair Airlines celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an appearance by the ‘Flairy Godmother’ to see off passengers.

Flair is offering one-way fares for its new Toronto-Orlando route starting at C$36 ($25).

Four Orlando winter routes

Given the weather in Canada at this time of year, there is high local demand for winter sun destinations like Orlando. The Florida city is known as the ‘Theme Park Capital of the World,’ home to world-class attractions like Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort. Demand will also go the other way, with plenty of Floridians eager to experience the snow over the winter.

Flair launched its first route to Orlando from Kitchener-Waterloo in late October, which will run with 3 peak weekly frequencies. It is also set to inaugurate new routes from London and Saint John later this week—its London service will begin on Friday, Dec 20th, followed by flights from Saint John on Sunday, Dec 22nd.

“The new direct flights from Toronto Pearson, London and Saint John, which join the recent addition of Kitchener-Waterloo, are making it even easier for Canadians to travel to the theme park capital of the world.”

While Flair will be the only carrier flying to Orlando from Kitchener-Waterloo, London and Saint John, it will face competition from three other airlines on the Toronto route, namely Air Canada, Porter Airlines and WestJet.
